theres a nvidia plugin for photoshop, i use that. you want to encode them with dxt5 and everything else on default (no mipmaps)

im still planning some tutorial handling that, and general model making in supcom, but yeah its coming soon™

just playing faf has shown to be on average at least 10% faster sim speeds (compared to steam), and can be a lot more difference with intense things like asf fights happening.

i would have the graphs somewhere but im feeling lazy to dig out the slack history which is probably locked now so i would have to ping icecreamer for them and so on xD

off topic question, exotic do you know where can i find tutorial explaining .dds files and what tools need to create them? i've searched the forum here but there's nowhere i found some really helpful tutorial.

BTW im not a new here and i did mention i use the NON-Steam forged alliance (vanilla version)

thats not very nice tatsu. this sort of attitude isnt exactly encouraging towards new users.

monty - since you are not using faf, im not entirely sure how to help you. why do you need the replay disabled? the steam version doesnt have a replay vault so the only ones it saves are local to you anyway. there wont be a performance improvement if thats your concern, and no one except you will be able to see the replays anyway.

one possible solution is to get faf and then play private games - that way your replay isnt saved, as mentioned above

ok thanks for reply. i thought theres going to be performance improvement

there is no switch/commandline arg or option to disable saving the replay.

The only way is a mod that is adding this command/variable setting:
Code:
sessionInfo.createReplay = false

If you play without FAF you need to manually press "save replay" button and choose a name for replay file, otherwise replay will be written (and re-written) in "LastGame.scfareplay" file.

If you want replay to not be written at all you will need some mod... there is no built-in functionality for that.
Why you want this? think it would increase performance? :D replay files are fairly small in supcom... don't think they affect performance that much...

What exactly is your situation? Are you just trying to disable replay saving on your own computer? Or are you playing multiplayer with someone and want to disable saving replays for all parties?

I'm pretty sure you can use the /savereplay command line switch to have it always overwrite the previous replay so you don't gain a folder full of replays that just keeps growing if that is your issue but I am not aware of how to disable it for other players.

If Exotic doesn't know either, then chances are you're out of luck there, he's pretty good with the quirks of this game.

lol. what? why should we help you then?

I mean by your own admission it's not faf's responsibility?

EDIT: fair enough. I mean I myself try to have this mentality as much as possible.
