First off, its nice that you know that what you did was wrong, but it really isn't that bad to find a game, especially when you are 1300 rating. When 2000 rated players can do it, so can everyone.
Rating manipulation does damage the trueskill system - it propagates through the playerbase and makes trueskill less confident in everyone's ability, and its not that accurate in the first place, so this isn't helping.
As moderators, we reserve the right to apply any procedure we deem appropriate. Currently, FAF is under attack by people who do just that. We took the decision to remove anyone whos using these methods.
Ideally you should have PMed the mod group so we wouldn't be having this discussion in public, but it doesn't hurt for others to see this as well.
Regardless, as a mod team we do offer the chance for everyone to come clean, and you can have that chance too. However, this isn't to say that we take such offenses lightly.
after some discussion, the mod team has agreed to give you a 4 day ban instead of permanent, given that you did this knowingly for extended periods of time, and also knowing that there were others who were banned for this as well.
If you show a good attitude we may consider reducing you ban further, and this also applies to anyone else reading this. Showing a good attitude to correct your mistakes and be better behaved in the future, leads to reduction in ban time. Showing a bad attitude indicates that you haven't learned your lesson and makes our actions harsher instead.
Remember, it is always your actions and choices that dictate whether you are able to play faf or not, and you can always choose to follow a path where moderation will have no problem with you.
Thanks again, kind regards, the moderation team.Statistics: Posted by Exotic_Retard — 19 Nov 2017, 00:20
