From what I can tell it's not trivial, but probably eventually possible. There's a lot of other client work to do, but you can add an issue to the client on Github, and it will eventually get done.

just a small thing really.
Id like the option to have the installer not create an icon every time, I know its not a big thing I just have to delete it afterwards every time,
but it would just be nice if it could just not

I assume adding a checkbox to the installer wouldn't be much work, but I haven't done UI programming just low level and hardware stuff
