Team rating only means how lucky you have been with getting better team mates than the other teams, far more than personal skill.

Let's walk through your logic.

I have bad rating because rating means nothing. I am simply unlucky.

This means you could 1v1 people 500 rating above you. Since rating means nothing, if you win as many games as you lose, you will gain an extreme amount of rating. This is because losing against someone high rated means you lose like no rating while winning means you gain a lot.

This means you will enter team games with better players where this issue of luck no longer applies as you end up playing with the same 40ish people in all of your games.

But you won't do any of this because your head is so far up your ass you can't develop the confidence to do some self-introspection after losing a videogame match.

Since you won't do it, I guess that means you understand somewhere deep inside your brain that rating isn't "mostly luck" and that maybe you should start working on improving yourself.

You could "be" that player if you did anything else but sit on the forums and berate your bad teams but you don't, don't expect to be carried on astro crater battles when you're the highest rated player in the game buddy

you don't even make tanks ingame, just eco

After more study

what you're not telling us is that you just got shit on in an astro crater battles game with no air, and are now here to whine about it

first of all, games with restrictions and the like are not rated, players who play only unranked games like these will not have rating, so it's already a wildcard

second of all, don't try and plant rating 0 players onto the enemy team to try and get a free win, because their base level of knowledge before playing ranked games might match or even surpass yours (not hard, its astro crater battles)

third, don't come crying here everytime you lose a game, you're 800, you have the ability to play with players who might have 1000s of games on decent maps etc etc, you cannot go play babby maps with rating 0 players and then cry when you get dunked on, you signed up for it

It comes naturally with experience and brain cells.

for instance, i saw a lovely player named corsair attempt to do a comdrop onto a wounded player. But he then wanted to live as well. SO he ended up dying for nothing. And RQd.
I could see his thought process. But experience would tell him it was a poor strategy.

Kinda like if I'm air, i tell people if they die to mercies its their own fault for not building flak, being in too deep, or both.
And hell, up to 1500-1600 they still die to this shit.

TLDR: Rating is a very accurate measurement of how retarded you are at the game, in a game where basically everyone is in one way or another brain damaged in their own special way.

It doesn't excuse how toxic you were when you lost.

It feels as if you're just whining, and want to be praised for something you should be doing at that rank anyway (which is admittedly something I've done too http://forums.faforever.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=13608&hilit=gap#p139990)

How competetive a game is depends largely on the action you see in the game. The map decides that. There are maps where you've got one player who absolutely has to eco up completely and then start building stuff to fight with. But there are also maps where everyone has to rush in like mad.

Eco wars are rather boring. Whoever does it slightly better at the start and throughout the game, will win. However if your player is eco-ing all the time while his opponent is helping his allies grind you into dust, then something goes wrong.
