There's a border between reasonable and unreasonable toxicity within the game

I've observed that the higher the rank equates to quicker judgements being made. i.e. noob asks a question, but they don't use the correct words to describe the question. Quick analysis, quick judgement, quick to move on. This leaves the poor noob, wondering if it's worth trying again to ask the same question, but with a better description. Most won't. :?

This is totally different, to when they've got the time to think about the question. They'll guess what the noob was trying to say, since all roads lead to rome in faf. :geek:

I totally agree with your point;

Thanks for sharing, I thought it was one of the best post in this thread.

For instance, don't live in a delusional reality where all your plays are perfect and you somehow always win and your team pulls you down. Basically everyone has some place where they could have played better and no point in flaming someone if they did a small fuck-up that lost the game.

Obviously you're bound to run into situations where you play 45 minute games and you end up losing because someone accidently ctrl+k'd their acu rather than their t1 pgens and it loses you the game. Or someone decides to not make units and just sit in their base upgrading mexes. Moments like these are obviously going to make you more salty and a level of toxicity will be expected.

There's really very few people that are generally totally toxic and most people are able to keep their salt levels within a well-defined border that makes you realize they're still human beings rather than spawns from the Dead Sea. Those are the people you can just end up foeing or fan their flames for some additional fun until they "ban you from their games." A good rule of thumb for me is whether someone ends up taking salt from a game into Aeolus. Aeolus is for memes and setons salt only.

But that's just the way I look at it. Some people are going to say any toxicity is bad, but I think denying toxicity is inherently toxic as it's just part of human nature. Like throwing up bile or something.

But he was funny as f*ck with his replies.

Do you have any further advise on the subject at hand?

The best example of handling Toxic players, that I've seen, was by some player called Lame. I've seen some of his replays and they contain the best retorts to Toxicity, I've yet to see.
I remember my first online team game, DOW, some time ago. I didn't have a clue what was expected from me and our team promptly lost. I gave the excuse that I was a noob, but it didn't stop the insults. I never played online DOW again.
So, something can be said about the negative affects of Toxicity. It simply does not encourage growth of the community.
What I've seen of this community is that some players have become 'Hard'. They no longer see Toxicity and most likely laugh, if they see it. They don't offer protection or simple advise. In fact, they believe that you shouldn't be entering a battle if you're 'Soft'.
I think the player's rating, should give everyone a clue as to what's expected from them in a team game.
My advise is to take it with a pinch of salt. Make yourself more determined to improve, because everyone loves a winner.
But, if you feel it's too much, look for help. PM the players Councillor.

Only when I decide not to post... Then again it's always the same three losers denying what ever I say. You know the people with cat avatars and lame signatures imitating my original signature. If you see anyone with that sig layout, they're copying me because they can't be original.

That should get the ball rolling.

So being a total d*** online is super ok, snowflakes beware, but ranting about it on the forum offends you ?

Dear sir if you would be so nice to read what I wrote and how so you can re asses your opinion, I would be then delighted.

Endranii, those that rage/are salty or aggressive either stop raging after they realize no one is listening or they are banned for some time. Take briang for example.

Well If one is being cunt all the time then yes they should be chat banned for some time. But if some one get's salty once per 15 games then is it really wrong? It's like saying that we should all go and hug each other and be happy. Well look at EU to what happens when we all try to be so nice to each other.
And If some one tells me that I should be nice and polite to everyone in game then I rather quit than be lying cunt.Oh and before it, I would throw some insults as most of the time the guys being the nice ones are the ones imposing the stupid rules on others not thinking about the other party.

No I wasn't but I didn't like the way you phrased it. Well I get that you were sarcastic but you also implied that ppl who rage/are salty don't read the forum when they also do. It's like being salty is some kind of of grave offense to most ppl. I mean why don't we just disable the chat altogether so some special snow flakes won't get offended by someone being simply human?

And I would clearly draw a line between using sarcasm / sass to point out something and straight out calling someone "a fucking whore". This has, in my opinion, nothing to do with being a snow flake but with normal adult behavior. :)

tl;dr: insulting someone shouldn't be tolerated just because it is "someone being simply human".
