GQ i have interpreted as being trash for a long some now and if you have a high variance in players (maybe a 1700 and then a 1000) it cannot really provide a "good game" for anyone

I imagine it would be nice to display quality of a stored replay (since player ratings seem to be also stored with it), but there's no such thing in place right now.

Doesn't it also get used in the replays though?

ok in client i totally blank that number, its broken 99% of the time anyway, or at least thats my impression.

in the LOBBY its invaluable however, and i know the distinction has already been made i feel its important enough to make it again; hope this helps

I don't need explaining how it works (don't give me that "if you don't like reading" bullshit either). I was interested if people even look at this number, since it's meaningless with uneven number of players in teams, while people are still joining or waiting for one more player.

it's every noob i've ever played with's Bible.

few people know how absolutely crud this feature is.

we should either have it removed or have it replaced by a overall connectivity quality indicator.

I am 100% sure you missunderstood him.

The question was about the game quality indicator in the client, not in the lobby. It was introduced so you can see how the balance is when you join and take the next free spot. However, it assumes that there is no balancing afterwards...

So no, I dont use it ever.

Do you ever use this number?

A little context - the client uses a "trueskill" python package. I was curious to see where it was used - turns out right now it's only used to generate this quality percentage. I'm not really sure if it's useful, I feel it's only really reliable when the game is full (and why would you check quality of an already full game).
