you could make heavy t2 navy spam as Aeon and stun all frigs that come in close range with your t2 ships. that could have been cool tactic

I dont see t2 flak stopping torp bombers...
If you want the dampner to work, the acu has to be at the helm of the push. So....enough said.

aeon is one of the least vulnerable faction to torpedo bombers they can built t2 mobile aa on water and a really good cruiser and lots of shields.

Well the way I see it, as Aoen, with or without cruiser or attack boats you are very vulnerable to torpedo bombers. So at T2 and beyond, the risk you expose your ACU to outweigh the benefits. Same goes for cybran torpedo-com.

The problem about this thing is it is to huge and in this area of effect it has it can be only op if buffed for lategame or useless. I suggest to rework it like uef nano there are enough lategame upgrades on back slot of aeon acu so -> An idea i would have for this thing is to use it in early game as a anti block and surround protection. Make it cost like 800 mass and reduce range to half of a normal t1 tank range. People can use it with double gun or in combination with engi and fast fire gun. maybe even a small hp boost like nano. So it does not repair the acu but emp in small range arround the acu which is as well useful to avoid damage.

Right now it's not broken as the chrono was not designed to work under water. With the torpedo range it's not going to be that easy to use but since we don't really see to much of chrono action this could be changed.

But it won´t be that much OP because you can get the upgrade at the T2 stage. And what else can you get at the T2 stage? Sub Hunters, Destoyers, etc.
For summary:

Range of Chrono dampner: 35
Range of Sub Hunter: 45
Range of Destoyer Torps: 45
Range of Torp. Laucher: 50/60

So, how OP is it now?

It´s going to be funny to stun Navy, but with a bit of awarnes, you can make it not very usefull

of course this is fixed in equilibrium - chrono now works underwater and on air units without needing to abuse things, have a nice day i guess

last time i checked chrono dampener only works when you shoot your main ACU gun.
if you want to stun air you have to groundfire ground.

Uhh, remember aeon tech modifies temporal fields. Chrono weapons are time based weapons. It's not EMP at all. Altering quantum mechanics around targets to freeze them in time is not EMP.

Although it says EMP weapon in game, it's scientifically not, and should work underwater.

I think robots arnt supposed to work underwater either, too much electricity and stuff. The devs were relying on suspension of disbelief when they allowed them to be amphibious but thought underwater EMP's were pushing it too far.

Somehow the chrono dampner doesnt stun units when ACU is under water, is this intended, or a bug? It doesnt make sense to me that it shouldnt work the same for on land and under water.
