There are other, far better ways of killing people that will barely be affected by pause - such as a flood of units, an air snipe, an exp rush, tech rush, gun rush, double teaming, triple teaming, etc.

You mean whatever you are pausing for can't wait 1 or 2 second longer you need to type in "phone' for example?

Alternatively there could be a 3 second delay on when the pause goes active.

This doesn't avoid people pausing to warn others though, since with that you would just need to pause sooner and he could just get ready to insta queue whatever he would have previously queued during the pause. So doesn't really solve much.

no...not really.

anyway. Ten second delay until pause. so you click pause and every player gets Pause in 10...9...8 etc message.

The ten seconds of course just being a rough guesstimate... a suitable delay that is just long enough to prevent general shield blocking abuse given the travel time of a TM at max range.

don't know if this is even possible....
