Yes and no. It's a problem that comes from bad management so it's not directly related to open source projects so no, it's not property of all of them.

However, it needs to be said that open source projects do have a tendency to suffer from it more often than closed source ones.

I wasn't really able to read all that much about what was going on on slack and I think I contributed the least amount to faf, but from my perspective communication & "project management" seemed always to be a little bit of a problem.

Like someone feels overlooked because there was no clear plan as to who has to be informed before, during and after task x is executed. But maybe that is a property of all open source projects? I'm not sure.

You guys just need to find a boss who is present enaugh (so not sheo) who give the roadmap and make everyone work togeather and in the same direction. Dev without a leader can sometime hit wall, its why they always have a boss

At this point I want to publicly express my apologies to grothe, he wasn't in #website before 16th December. Sorry.

All I'm asking for is that the repeated accusations, the bitching, the "it's everyone's fault but mine", "to ME, that would NEVER have happened", all these "shit"s and "fucking"s stop and we become a group of friendly, helpful, RESPECTFUL and HONEST developers with good intentions, who can talk civilized and objectively to each other, even if things aren't temporarily going well.

I'm not always the best example, I'm only human, too. But at least that's how I'm trying to be. And I invite everyone to remind me of that whenever I'm not.

Everything but that just isn't helping anyone.

There were like 30 people in the chat and exactly one of them had server access and worked on the problem.
The core issue here is not communication, it's the lack of respect in general and of other people's work in particular.
