I can at least help out a bit on this :
this can be remedied by port forwarding.
it's a two step process involving allowing both TCP and UDP throughput on port 6112 on whatever your router is
then in windows firewall checking all inbound rules that could remotely relate to Sup com FA or FAF and:
- allowing the connection
- and in "advanced" selecting "allow edge traversal" from the drop-down list
disabling the firewall entirely does not achieve this and presents security risks so refrain form this.
this all may sound complex but it just sounds that way it's pretty quick to get done if you're the owner of your own internet connection. otherwise if you get internet through your landlord it's gonna take convincing the landlord first to let you configure the router.
alternatively you can turn on UPNP in faf as well as in your router (most routers have it on by default). (and faf also has this on by default although if you are already in this case you'll have to turn it off and try portforwarding instead)Statistics: Posted by tatsu — 08 Sep 2016, 10:54
