I possess the ability to convert maps back to the old format...
Then they could be opened in editor.
They would lose some gloss.. Like custom sky or something (eg haven reef had cool nightime sky).

You do?? Can i order them all including mission maps. Some download link please :) also how do you do it?

I assume it's because mapedit is part of the og supcom files and thus cannot get into in fa stuff, but that's just theorycrafting

I was gonna say, whats the problem? it seems like such an easy fix... There must be someone somewhere with the FAF-Fu abilities to do this.

The new maps added in forged alliance cant be opened by the official map editor. The devs mustve decided to keep the new version of the map editor to themselves :(

I think I once managed to get the x1mp maps to open in the SupCom map editor but I can't remember how I did it and when I wanted to try yesterday, I found out two things:

1. I don't have the SupCom map editor installed anymore
2. the .exe I tried to download crashed on opening :(

I think it had something to do with the folder location of the x1mp maps. Maybe copying them into the SupCom Vanilla map folder will get them to work. Maybe not.

Only in your dreams... if it was so easy i would already wrote a guide in the wiki
