The 40 MB download usually takes 2 seconds for me, but I might be 1 second pessimistic. Either way it's better than EA's BF2 patches that took 8 hours for 300 MB.

Would be cool if the last update would be stored in a cache, so you don't have to re-download everything when going from FAF to FAF beta and back, or from an old replay back to current version.

Or at least always store the current version.

Ive had updates, map files, and replays all take a painfully long time to load even by my 1.4mb/s download rate, if i could manually download and install the patches from a mirror that would be nice <3

It's 100%-random for me. Sometimes it finishes in a matter of seconds and sometimes it hangs a bit throughout the process and doesn't complete for up to 10 mins.

I meant just opening the page in FAF that has the replays like live replays

I didn't mean loading an old replay and getting the update.

Maybe depend of how far you are form the server. Its pretty fast for me...

my 10mbit connection downloads patches at its max speed

replay tab takes 20 seconds to open and while ytou are opening it FAF is non responsive

well more replays you have in your replay folder thhe more time it takes

Also it seems that the slows down I get while switching between tabs come while FAF is reading the windows/fonts folder
