Also the CPU rating is inaccurate when it comes to laptops, many times I've encountered decent scores of ~230 but they start to throttle a lot 5 mins into the game and you can actually see it because their simspeed is spiking. And there is absolutely nothing you can say to the guy because "he has i5 and it never slowed down a game before". Only way is to list the fker and kick instantly if he joins again.

Support this then;

I've suggested the same ~2 years ago, but the higher-ups deemed that too much information the serfs could handle...

The laptop problem is indeed becoming bigger, over the last year I've noticed much more players with decent CPU bench, yet simspeed slowdown later on. Two years ago that was not as much the case. I guess the infestation of the -U CPU's in badly cooled laptops...

CPU rating smurfing should be added to the banned exploits tough.

Also; internet speed, RAM and cooling (anything beyond good enough) won't make any difference for FA.

I got a GTX970 and 100 meg broadband and 6 GIG mem and the cpu is liquid cooled lol.

It's so low because all the things you mentioned have absolutely no influence over - as the name would suggest - the CPU score. And i7 950 is old and slow, the manner in which it is cooled also has no bearing on its performance ....

Well I have no problems running the game so it's still good enough and in most games I know of it only loses a couple of fps against current cpu's which is unoticable.

It will o/c to 3.8 but it's not needed imo.

I never have problems playing and practice sometimes on my own with 7 Ai with no slow down.

Ive upgaded the gfx card for Doom 4 but have never needed to change the rig even though the score seems quite high faf .

Seem rather low to me, considering 2500K gets ~220

Really; the 2nd gen Core CPU's were a big jump up in performance. Core 2 Quad > i7 9x0 was a smaller step up than i7 9x0 > i7 2x00

I will post Zen's results for you guys about 2 weeks after it launches for a comparison!
Im inclined to believe E8400 on the pentium side, they are two cores yes, but the overclockable models are surely great for faf!
