With different move orders not so much, but I do feel the difference in unit responsiveness depending on the day of the week, probably has to do with the star positioning, maybe sun radiation. Also the game generally feels smoother when I'm not under the effect of narcotic substances but maybe that's just a placebo.

Looking for theories about move orders. Long time ago I used to always use the move hotkey. Then I stopped. Over the last 24 hours I started using it again and the behaviour of the units is quite different. The units respond faster and appear to move faster(when given to a group of units).
Do others see this?

When microing asf (besides using the stop command) does one use the hotkey(I know I never did)

Basides the Earth's magnetic field another theory could stem from the fact that when a right click move order is held down, you can choose the formation. FA counts the time between mousedown and mouse up and if it is long enough you get a formation move instead of a regular move.(what could go wrong...) It would be interesting to find out what this time is measured in, sim ticks?, ren frames?, system timer?, Earth's magnetic field?
You can get the formations to appear faster by pressing left key immediately after you press the right key
