Since sheeo didn't make it 100% clear: the upload button was removed because the upload function was not working. It is not the case that the upload button being missing is the cause of the upload function not working. Re-adding the button is about 30 seconds of work.

The real problem is, as sheeo said, simply that it's not finished, and all the people who could finish it have other things going on in that awkward thing called "real life".

This is a way oversimplification and frankly it's just FUD.

The previous upload functionality was incompatible with the server protocol changes so the mainline client had the functionality removed. Downlord was assigned to make this work on the API way back instead, so the code we have in the API is his product -- it's not ready yet, and it's not because of a simple missing folder on the production server. A quick inspection of the code will tell you that.

This is my first priority when I get some FAF time again soon. In the meantime, I would apreciate that rumours about things missing just 5 minutes of my time when that's clearly not the case be extinguished.

The issue that was found was the lack of dir, so im saying they made it and then something broke

Ive heard the fix is to run simple command on the server to make maps directory there. Big issue is that it has to be sheoo doing it since hes the one with access to the server... An hes short on time...

Maybe use this thread to post some status update? i heard the issue was found but another came up when fixed so im not sure on what's happening
