i know im not a qualified coder but if anyone is wondering how to contribute, and cant get a hold of sheeo (this guys a slippery character : D)
they can ask me or any other member of [e] clan, and we will answer you as best we can.

I'll add this on top: This is not a one man project. It never was and it never will be. We absolutely rely on multiple contributors to keep this running and evolving--for us to sustain that's what we need to keep doing.

I would add a list of people it took to reach this point, but I believe Blodir has done this already.

@Morax I apreciate your sentiment, but if you want me to tell you the average consultant fee of a programmer for 'this sort of thing', I don't have an answer. It varies greatly by country and competence.

As people are saying; anyone new on this project needs time to 'settle' and get to know the codebase before they can meaningfully contribute. It takes some time to get accustomed to the huge codebase around FAF. This is why my primary goal has been to reduce the overall amount of code we have (of course, maintaining the amount of features). This makes it easier for new contributors to start helping out, and it also makes it easier for older contributors to keep going without getting a mental block.

It doesn't seem like this thread is evolving usefully, so I suggest we close this discussion here and bring any useful tidbits up for discussion later / individually.
