If they don't take the extra mile to make it look unique, add reclaim, add decent textures, etc etc. It's mostly in the eye of the beholder, but they still need to put all of their energy into it. When THQ released that application for FA that was a hub for mods and maps, a ton of content was pumped out that was sub-par, and being one of those people who put no effort into content creation, I stopped making maps entirely. It just concerns me that the same thing might happen again.

Maybe, but how to know if the chosen map was made half assed or not? only will you know when the player comes out pissed at you

It isn't to discourage people from mapping, but to discourage people from half-assing mapping.

Open palms and Emerald crater are both core maps, not custom

If you really need to make a poll to discourage and drive people away from mapping for fear of them being judged so harshly, then probably something like voodoo maps, which are from a player evading a permaban. Otherwise like, why
