What Im thinking of is a 'Star Craft II players guide to Supcom (F.A)'.
There are tens of thousands of hardcore Star Craft II players, who watch replays, streams and analysis, study tactics etc, many of whom may never have seem supcom or may be lapsed players who left when the game wasn't getting supported, but who imo are the most fertile group for finding new FAF players.
There are already excellent casters and streamers here who are doing a great job in covering the FAF scene, and I know there are quite a few who also play SCII, who could perhaps put together a good introduction to Supcom using SCII as a starting point. Comparing the in economy and control schemes, comparing specific units that fulfill similar roles in the two games, showing the vital differences and the new elements supcom has that set it apart etc etc. This could be added to with replay clips comparing cool epic moments from both games, and even players like TLO talking about both games, like here:

If this was done in an open, unbiased, welcoming sort of way, I think it might be a good way of bringing people to FAF who otherwise might not have ever thought about Supcom or were put off by not understanding how it plays, and instead tried League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth or whatever RTS games are getting exposure atm.Statistics: Posted by Crayfish — 08 May 2012, 18:27
