/me remembers when ZeP tried to do team game ladder and chuckles. The thing is, all of the factors you listed are accounted for by trueskill (and many people have accurate ratings). There are problems with trueskill, but your arguments and suggestions to fix it are uncompelling.

Neither of the systems are "plagued" by giving points inappropriately, that is a recent issue that I can guarantee you will be fixed and reversed.

Global rating includes custom games, or if I am not wrong only custom games and excludes ladder.
So, it doesn't really reflect anything because there's not a regulated way to measure player skill.
If ladder sometimes is plagued by matching players inappropriately or not correctly giving points where it is not due
, now imagine what happens in custom games where there's no control over the maps played, they can be
1v1, 2v2, a big delta between players matched etc

So either resetting it or not, it doesn't make a difference, because it has become meaningless.
Except if a regulated ladder for 2v2 or 3v3 were to be introduced.

I disagree, resetting rating brings competition. It gives something to fight for... Biggest problem is that we don't really have enough players to reset ratings because we don't have leagues and all that. With some luck you get five different players on the ladder in one day, and most of the time there is a rating difference too big.

I'm talking about the ladder rating now. Not sure if a global rating reset would bring any pros...

I think the removal of inactive members from leader boards was enough. There is really no reason to reset the ratings as they will eventually result in the same outcome.

Given that it's fifty fifty, it'll indeed not happen (or atleast not because of this poll)... Should have atleast 3/4th for a change to be made.

Same, I dont see any point in this, you will end up with lots of 1k+ guys bashing newbies, its just super annoing.
the rating system is fine, it does not need a reset
