while checking for those i noticed that most of my vids do not have proper tags cause i used twitch to youtube uploader

J/K, I like that, Com, as it definitely boosts hits.

My head set and mic unfortunately bit the dust after 5+ years of service this past weekend. The new one comes in later this work week and I'll get these tags and a new cast/tutorial up with these tags.

I honestly go on a bit of a crazy spam; somewhere in my mind I related tags to keywords from back in like 2000 doing webpages and whatnot.

An example of a tag list from one of my casts is something like
FAF, Forged Alliance, FA, Forged Alliance Forever, SupCom, Supreme Commander, Supreme Commander Forged Alliance, SCFA, 1v1, Ladder, 1vs1, Player1name***, player2name***, ***playerclan, mapname**, RTS, Real Time Strategy, RTS Game, VoR, VoRCom, VoRClan, Voice of Reason, VoiceofReason,

...Basically like that, anything and everything I can relate or think is related in any way shape or form to the video and the type of people that may be interested in the video. Sometimes there's more, but this is mostly all I can think of for now.

I always put "Supreme Commander Forged Alliance" in the title in the end.

Regarding video tags i put :
Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance
Real-Time Strategy (Media Genre)
Gameplay

I also support naming & tags convention if some come up.

I always have "Supreme Commander Forged Alliance" in the title of supcom vids, and then put the following in tags -

RTS
SupCom
BRNKoINSANITY
Strategy
FAF
Forever

I discovered recently that if you don't tag yourself in your videos, you don't pop up in the video list except for your channel at the top. EG before I started tagging myself, I could search my name and I would get the little channel plug at the top, and then it would list all the videos from Gyle and Orbital Potato who either had my name tagged, in the description, or in the title.

How can you be that lazy? In channel setting you can make it automaticly put it in.
Creator Studio -> Channel -> Upload defaults

That's a good start. I did some inquiries with other people that do YouTube channels and good tags / titles greatly increase the chances of "Suggested Videos" you see at the end of one. This is precisely how I saw the first FAF cast video that told me about the community after I was watching some RTS game preview. Let's make this happen.

Fellow casters in FAF,

Do we collectively have tags for our videos and tutorials? E.G. use "FAFCommunity," "FAFTutorials," "ForgedAllianceForever," "RTSGaming," etc?

I think if we made a collaborative list of tags (including Gyle) we could grow the awareness of the game and community. I found this whole thing through one of TA4Life's and Gyle's casts about one and a half years ago and I think it's the main way most people do see it.
