Ahh! Okay! So I can make myself maps and add markers to them as well as the Amphibious Markers, and then just put them in my FaF Map Folder. Shame that I won't be able to upload them, but no biggie.

This happens on maps that don't have AI markers at the 30 minute mark, always at the 30 minute mark and only one maps that don't have Sorian AI. Maps that do have markers, but don't say so in the lobby will crash.

I'll just reinforce what Aware mentioned about the Scenario file - it's holds all the information that FA needs to find your map. Learn how to edit it directly - as you'll need to be able to do that if you ever wish to edit a map that has more than 8 start positions. There's not that much in it, so you shouldn't find it difficult.

Create you own naming system and then only change versions until each maps landform/markers/script are correct.
You can give all folders the same new name for a 1st edition of a map. You only need to add .0002 to the main folder when you are uploading a new version. (plus you must add 'map version = 2' in *.*_scenario.lua text.) To be complete you must also edit the path names to include the .0002 suffix.

Anyway at this stage just try to get the naming right ...its where most beginners make errors.
Your path names listed in *.*_scenario.lua must match the actual folder and file name structure.

If you want to test the map you don't need to upload it, just skirmish say 2AI v 2AI or play the map yourself against AI. Then check replay to see what the AI did and what can be improved.
The Sorian AI uses linked-amphibious markers to path-find with Experimentals. I don't see any in that preview so I would expect AI Experimentals to get stuck on obstacles. It is worth carefully laying out linked amphibious markers while imagining you are guiding a GC or FatBoy.

As for Hazard's Marker Editor-- HOLY SHIT! It worked! Thanks so much, guys! Shame that I can't edit 12-player maps, but that's no big deal.

I have Supreme Commander 1 installed and downloaded, but it's not located in Documents.
