I know what you are talking about i ve noticed just lately in a 1v1 game on craftious maximum sera hover arti shot up to an island and missed all the time. I think the problem is alike with janus bomber. I though there i found a solution. I ve been testing a lot and can reproduce missing at 1 place at canis 5v5 100%. I tried some values and increased the lift fator since janus has very very slow lift factor which adds several problems to this plane even in air to air fight. At this place the problem was really removed since the reason of this problem was while coming down from a high hill the plane was not able to reach the height for doping bombs in time. After my fix it worked there, ive been already happy and testing more and found out thats not the only problem it was still missing at different places. Mostly it seems connected to surface but not always, janus even is missing on a complete flat surface sometimes. There must be several problems and thats the reason why it is so difficult to find out.

also i know that aeon arty would probably not hit anyway because of other bug when height difference makes units miss, but that is different story

You are using an aeon arti which cannot turn the gun 360°. Your angle up is not enough since it stops at 90° vertical 45° side. You need more since you are standing down the hill with both arti. Watch the picture and see the reason clearly, the uef arti can shoot at this t1 pd in background and the aeon cant it is reproducable
But please dont ask me why the aeon arti is not simply turning arround the chassis. I think the aeon arti cant find a firing position there because if it is turning arround that the gun angle is high enough it would watch the wrong direction which prevents shooting or something like this.

p.s. the model of lobo is a monster truck compared to this aeon soap box and i just watched DB the aeon arti is limited to 45° side angle it simply cant find a shooting position there. With 90° both sides it would be able to fire from this position. Between the uef gun and the pd are more than 45°.

I have tryed to claim middle with aeon t1 arty attack move, but i failed, same with manual targetting attempts

quite annoying
