Err, that is a mobile part, power use is as little as 37w up to 65w.

It has iris pro gfx.

It's a desktop CPU that uses the Z97 chipset, and the iris iGPU is better than the normal intel integrated but it's still not made for gaming.

@Morax; yeah same here, I get fps drops later on in the game anyways with 2 760's which is obviously far above required for this games.

The game doesn't support multi-threaded processing so it's better to focus on a CPU with a higher clock speed than anything... A modern, efficient, multi-processing tech won't help with this game.

I even question if SLI was the way to go because of the games age. I'm considering selling my cards for a burly GTX 980 due to this result.

I know now that I've to concentrate on finding the best gpu within my budget (and worry less about the cpu, as long as it is i7).

I want to buy a new laptop and want to be able to play FA on 1080p settings (medium or high).
Currently I'm running FA with resolution 1600x900 with an i7-2630QM & GT 555M and low settings.

I'm checking out mid range gaming laptops, in other words my budget is tight.

I see i7-4720HQ, i7-6500U, i5-6300HQ and i7-6700HQ processors, will all do the job?
Furthermore I can choose between the build in intel GPU (HD520/HD530) will the work?
Or do I need to look for NVIDIA gpu's? (930m, 940m, 950m, 960m, 970m will they all keep me from lagging?

Maybe it is helpful if somebody can state minimum Average G3D Mark scores (like: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.p ... X+960M&id=) and
minumum Average CPU Mark (http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu ... 40+2.50GHz) which are needed for playing Forged Alliance on HD high settings.

Your input is much appreciated.
Rudy
