I played few teamgames and 2 ladder games with this app, average apm was between 131-166 in those games and every game had peaks of +250. APM given by this app is almost double compared to replay parser's values, i usually get 80-100 with it.

I watched the replay parser sometimes but i am cheating replay parser with my playstyle. I use to many to big templates and they are counted not as 1 action but every unit in the template is 1 action at this time. Since i add useless walls everywhere my apm is exploding and therefore useless this click tool would be indeed interesting since it reflects your real reaction speed but i am to lazy to install.

ZLO, that's a fair point, yet since we're all using the same "measuring tool" we can use it to compare amongst ourselves.

Just a thought, in SC2 you also spend alot of APM just to move around the map, while scrolling does not seem to register as action...

Blodir lies, I'm averaging around 100 apm. Earlier 57 was because it counts lobby as gametime, so ladder is by far the best testing place, or just take average from the graph (set to min)

Yeah, can do that but it's not really necessary (who is gonna do that work? xD), check this for example http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/Actions_per_Minute. People often compare supcom APM to SC2 Pro players' APM but there isn't a standardized alghorytm for it. F.I. the page sais "This includes selection of units or buildings, movement commands, selection and assignment of hotkeys and related commands." when zock was saying that selecting something isn't a "classic" action etc. Regarding that, we also don't know the alghorytms used in other games for APM measurement (unless someone can provide us with the information) but this is IMO the closest we can get to what other games have and it has the least amount of bullshit in it, like besides spamming messages in chat counting for APM there aren't really any great flaws (maybe useless keyboard spamming at the start of the game, but again, same shit in sc2 with a hotkey spam at the start). Anyway, gonna play some 1v1 later and post results I guess.

Played a 3v3 on open palms, apm average around 150, but game was super laggy and shit so I don't think it should be counted

does this cause ui lag? and what does it do with all the data it collects?

I had some massive ui lag, but probably not due to this program.
apm 124 on roanoke, but I was tabbed out a bunch of the time playing with device manager.

IMO still a way better way of comparing how fast somebody plays than replay parser which will just give you 29304890234 apm only because you spammed some units from all facs while holding shift or dragged a massive line of walls etc.
