Perhaps larger font for the 'The Project' section.

In regards to text, keep it minimal. I like the current layout and top menu. You really don't need much more. To elaborate: no donate button on the fornt page but only under the "non profit" button with sub-page. No detailed explanation on comunnity driven this and that constant updates through modding, that goes under the other buttons. The front page should essentially be an advertisement to the game with functional quick routes to any other information.

I really like it the way it is already.

People generally tune out if its more than 3 lines of text, for example your intro is 7 and the SC:FA description is 15 (I added bullet points to that though). The SC:FA description might be cool as a series of pictures with short picture-texts
