Tatsu, maybe. Did that for a while, and it let a lot go through that Norton stops since I use it. It also has excellent reviews on many review sites so I don't care much that people say it's shit because ... reasons ;)

But that's not the point, I'm not trying to debate which security option is the best or the worse, the solution is easy, I add the FAF exe to the ignore list.

It might however (Assuming it's not just a freak occurence specific to my setup) scare away new users who try FAF out, hence my post, should anyone want to investigate that at some point.

I think the procedure is filing up a forum thread with them about an incorrect flagging. it may take awhile but it should bear results.

I was waiting for someone to bring that up ..

I know the rep of Norton, when I chose to install it anyway, I did so after consulting enough reviews who all seemed to agree that it had improved and that it's basically a really capable solution (on par with many others as basically no security solution stood out particularly when I chose)

It works (this weird thing aside), my pc works, I have no issue with it.

Regardless, it's a mainstream software, so I thought it would be of interst to people here to know that FAF seems to conflict with it.

you might as well be using the stock : windows defender, from what I understand they're relatively equivalent since Microsoft buy tons of antivirus databases.

Had Norton for a while and never happened before

I guess I have to re-install now.

edit: can be undone and Norton can be told to leave FAF alone. Strange behavior though
