Thanks for your input. If you like to contribute, please PM me your email address so I can invite you to your Slack group, where development talk takes place.

Co-Op is broken in the current release version but fixed in the upcoming version.
AFAIK, there are only Forged Alliance co-op missions but I might be wrong. speed2 is the guy to ask :)

https://github.com/FAForever/downlords- ... Comparison

The first states for this client "Co-Op Gameplay" no, the second states "Co-Op" yes, except Leaderboards.

In the UI I've only seen Co-Op for Forged Alliance, not for the first Supreme Commander. Is that correct?

I'd seen that this client is written in Java and got curious, so I thought to myself: Get the jar, run it and have a look. I was astonished that there is only a Windows executable available for download. I assumed that I could extract it somehow and run the Java part. It wasn't as easy as I thought, so I just ran the installer to have a look which options it provides. This lead to the next surprise.

I have no Java installed but only extracted it. Therefore when the installer was run, it tried to download an JRE without any further confirmation. I could override that by specifying JAVA_HOME. The next thing was, that without any further dialog the installer requested admin permissions which I didn't grant because I decided to go the source code way.

Despite the project uses the IntelliJ IDEA I decided to use Eclipse because that's the IDE I know :D . I downloaded "downlords-faf-client-0.7.7.2-alpha.zip", added the Gradle plugin to my Eclipse Luna and imported the source. Some stumbling blocks were error messages like "Access restriction: The type 'ActionEvent' is not API (restriction on required library '<path>\jre\lib\ext\jfxrt.jar')" and Lombok. In the end I was successful and got it up and running including login :) .

The profile page seems to be broken because the statistics retrieval failed with an error because of no data (maybe because I didn't play online with FAF yet).

On first glance the project seems to be stuffed with libraries and the source code to be full of Lambdas and Executors ;D . The UI looks to me like some "modern" web page with large text and buttons and to much empty space. But that's just my opinion :) .

Is there any developers forum were I can ask questions and make suggestions? I don't want to create issues immediately.

Hey tatsu, thanks! Please follow the "How to run": https://github.com/FAForever/downlords- ... how-to-run

thanks I've tried that and lombok starts up when i click run (the run configs never existed it seems they don't show up in local history so i made my own)
Lombok (that i installed via intellij's own plugin manager) starts up but refuses to accept the ide that ran it :
