Ok here a replay with fight between destro sera and other destro. Make your idea.

This replay shows that the Sera Destroyer doesn't suck at fighting other destroyers. It's far from the best though.
And it doesn't show that the Sera Destroyer is not as good at attacking land as other Destroyers.

And it doesn't show that Seraphim don't have shield boat / stealth boat / t2 hover shield.
It's not so much that Sera Destroyers are bad, that's not true. The problem is that it's not good enough to make up for the lack of Seraphim capacity during T2 navy stage of the game.(It also doesn't show that Sera has the worst t2 hover tank and torp bomber).

If you compare the situation to land units, Seraphim have the Ilshavoh, higher HP bot with high DPS that balance the lack of mobile shield or mobile stealth and long range unit like hoplite. In their T2 navy, they just have a decent destroyer and a decent Cruiser, period. That's why they lack "something" at t2 navy (and skipping to t3 is not easy to do). Their Destroyer should be better in some way to balance the fact that Seraphim have less options. That's how they were designed.

There is actually an upgrade for the T2 Sonar in its code for a T3 sonar. However, the blueprint doesn't exist.

Can the unability to move T2 sonar (or to upgrade it to a movable T3 one like the other factions) for Seraphim be considered a bug and be fixed in 3609?

Exactly, have you tested it ? cause it's just not true. IT gets even more owned when submerged. It is still a nice option when the opponent has shitloads of frigates for instance.

Btw , earlier in this thread i said 1v1 the sera destro gets owned by any destro, I was wrong in part. It can ass whoop the aeon destro with proper micro (which I lack ^^).

That isnt the fault of the Seraphim Destroyer though, that is a bug with the Aeon Destroyer's guns.

FunkOff, i have made a few test and sra destro wins against cybran and uef destro when submerged and loose against aeon destro without micromanagement. And with micromanagement you could keep your destro out of water you win against all. If you want we could test it.

How do you keep the Seraphim Destroyer out of water?

about the destroyer sera, it is the best one against other destroyer. You submerged it and shoot with torpedo on other destroyer. Sera will win, it is so easy.

Actually, when submerged, the seraphim destroyer will lose against Aeon and Cybran destroyer, by a wide margin, because its anti-torp and it's torp weapons are poor. Similarly, the serpahim destroyer also loses on the surface. Go ahead, test it.
