Air experimentals should only be used once you've decisively won air superiority. By then you should be able to easily defend them against any air threat.
The Fatboy is the best land experimental in the game, as it can kite every single land threat. You simply can't use it like a direct fire experimental such as an ML or GC
The Fatboy lacks what other land Experimental have : HP. If it had more HP, it would not be so easy to snipe it with TML and T3 bombers. Just doubling its pathetic HP would be enough, and it would make its veterancy actually meaningful. Or if the current balance is deemed good enough, then transfer 10 k HP from the shield to the unit, the same way GPG did for the Harbinger.
As for air units, I think that 45 k mass is too expensive for them, 35 k (still more expensive thant the land exp) would allow them to be built earlier. They are strong enough now, with the way veterancy works now.
And the Soul Ripper, at 28 k mass is by far the best Experimental in the game. It's a Flying GC with AOE, that will gain veterancy faster than any other unit can in the game, laughing at mobile flaks and shields. If you have a decent amount of ASF to escort it, or better, to escort 2, you can kill anything.
Why don't people build it? Because they have no clue it's so cheap now Statistics: Posted by pip — 03 Aug 2012, 16:11
