Great Fun Tourny!

Please help the Tournament Director by registering early,
AND,
Help speed up the pre-game lobby process by,
reading/understanding the couple of tournament specific rules applicable to this tournament,
This will help tremendously towards starting the tournament in a timely manner.

Who knows... If tourny is popular, you all play nice, learn rules (please),
and don't get the TD mad :D~
Following the "Rainbow Cup III" 3v3, (approx 3 months from now)
I might sponsor "Rainbow Cup IV - Alliance's" 4v4,
with rating cap adjusted up or down to get to 16 team entry.
One tourny each three months is the plan.

Read the link below in tourny donations for more detailed instructions and related info.

Due to unforeseen circumstances the handling of this tournament has been taken up by me.
I will edit this post with any relevant changes including sign ups and map pool closer to the time.

Unless I'm mistaken there is nowhere where it even says how many players are on each team in this tourney. Is it a 3v3, 4v4 or what? Seems like an important detail you might want to include in the rules.

ThomasHiatt, This_Guy
the tourny is a 4v4 like the 'Rainbow Cup I' except rating bumped up from 7000 to 7200

Farmsletje
The paragon restriction is to prevent the team that picks first faction on a large map,
from picking Aeon and then turtling to build Paragon.
The other team will not be able to do the same, as it is locked out of building Aeon.
Decision was made for fairness.
When pitching tourny idea to Rowey, I left this particular detail to Rowey to decide between 3 choices:
1-Leave paragon
2-Leave paragon, but "agree" not to build, game stays ranked... or
3-Restrict paragon, games are unranked..
He choose 3, but i would think either 2 or 3 would be best choice?

No it's not. You think turtling for a para is a valid option in high lvl teamgames? Aside from sentons i don't remember the last time someone made it because it's that rare, and even on sentons people frequently choose making a mavor over making a para even though they do have the tech available. If they manage to do it they deserve it. Also, removing para but keeping mavor and yolo is highly unfair.

Hi Farmsletje,,
I will leave the paragon "option" to the wisdom of you and the TD,,
If you like to keep I am fine with..
Just didn't want the "Alliance" format to create an unfair advantage...
Thank you for the input.

Hi Blodir,,
The "Rainbow Cup I" was a 4v4 u7000 tourny,, 7000/4 players was a 1750 avg player rated tourny,
This proposed "Rainbow Cup II - Alliance's" is also a 4v4 tourny, but u7200 limit for a 1800 max avg/team,
(we had 21 teams enter "Rainbow I", bumping this tourny rating cap up 200 pts, might get the 16 team entry I am shooting for)
The following planned tourny in the series,
is the "Rainbow Cup III" and will be a u6000 3v3, for a higer skilled 2000 avg/team rating.
