Balance Killed because of direct built of T2 Factorys

Originally factories had to be upgraded from level 1 to 2, to three. through your patch, it is possible that you can build t2 directly. As a result, the balance has changed massively to the disadvantage. It would have to be like this again, that you have to upgrade each factory individually.

you need an hq of the respective tier or higher in order to be able to build support facs

You need to explain in detail why you think balance is worse due to this feature.

You cannot just build a T3 land factory with a T3 commander or a T3 engineer you made from your T3 air factory/naval factory. You must first upgrade a T1 land factory to T2 HQ, than T3 HQ, which is very time and resource consuming.

logic? the hq mod rather brought questionable complexity to the game

instead of simply upgrading factories it forces decisions to make a mainfactory (on which people still go and spam buildpower at anyway) and subfactories instead of having normal factories with reasonable cost, build efficiency and maintainancecost to ballance the spacing of this game´s battleescalationphases .. the only thing good about the engymod imo is to have reasonable constructionunits at all phases ..

the need to build HQ´s added another vulnerabilty to this game when there are already so many of them and like with many of these vulnerabilities it´s not much of a decision, you have to make use of it or otherwise fall behind in economy and production ...
lose a hq and your subfactories cease to function and to my knowledge you can´t upgrade a supfactory to a HQ (correct if wrong, haven´t played since the need of steamlinking)
meaning you have to build a HQ basicaly from scratch unless you have a spare t1 factory somewhere ..

on a sidenote i don´t realy see why it should not be possible to straight up give the order to build a t2/t3 HQ or t2/t3 supportfactory ..
what would be the difference to having them upgraded? you can straight up build t2/t3 mexxes, radar, stationary shields .. why are factory´s the exception?

Perhaps being able to upgrade a support fac to an HQ would indeed solve your discontent?

That certainly makes more sense to me than having a building that, sans HQ, cost you much more than a base factory that can only build tiers down (like the base fac) yet can't be upgraded (unlike the base fac).

why? you can just build T1 fac and upgrade it

Why? You already have a t2/t3 support fac. Why cant that be upgraded?

I think it's utterly daft that your support facs end up as glorified yet unupgradeable t1 facs so you have to start from scratch on a fresh t1 factory.

matter of QoL and saving needless clicks ..

have a t2 or t3 constructer, click t1 tab, pick factory, place factory, click twice for upgrading to t3 ..
and as mentioned before with mexxes, radars and shield f.e. you don´t need the latter 2 clicks (and the first) (unless cybran i guess with shields)
so why not have that for factories, too? what´s the counterargument to that?

i don´t see supportfactories being this much better ... as said .. many players still spam buildpower on single high tier factories (primarily t3, but also t2) ...
iirc the point of supportfactories merely was to have them spam high tier units after the initial high costinvestment into a HQ to carry the match into the next battleescaltionphase ...
