Why is a monkeylord so weak

Hi,
Spider costs 20k of mass, less than other experimental units. 7k less than the colossus.
But he has two times less hp and a terrible attack radius (bricks more), not to mention the absence of Schwarzenegger’s hands at the colossus. Also the same movement speed.
Why is a monkeylord so weak?

It's pretty cheap so u can get it before any other experimental and it's main weapon has an insanely high damage per second. Additionally you have to consider that a spider has stealth.

Colossus have same dps with his arms, and for 7k mass have more range attack and 55k hp bonus
Stealth? I thought that everyone who has a 1000 rating learned to use scouts...

This is a lot less true than it used to be. The monkey used to be the "SURPRISE" you could scrape out as Cybran to turn the tide of a battle, or something you could slam out to turn a team fight when people weren't ready. But with the T3-T4 land rework its much less so and I find that on large maps they almost always end up barely getting to the fight before a colossus is up and running and gunning it down.

That might just be me though.
I still think the monkey is viable at least, but its not what it once was.

well proportionally the ML is the exp that took the less BT nerf, it does cost a little bit more 1k iirc, but if any thing it should pop up way sooner than other exp, also it is now stronger against T3.

ML is outranged by T3.5 and percies have even more alpha now, so that improvement against T3 is slight.
