So far I have almost exclusively played ladder, but I would like to do some teamgames occasionally. However, I tried twice in the past month and both times I was useless to my team. Particularly, I'm used to start out with an aggressive T1 phase, which did nothing except make my team rightly disgruntled.

Two questions:
  1. My 1v1 rating is 750, my global rating is 1100, I have 2 teamgames on record this year. What would my 'effective global rating' be for the next few games? (I hope to convince people to let me play as a 900 rated for example)
  2. What should my build be? - Always eco fast, no real aggression before T2?

Relative beginner here. If you are playing Setons Clutch and playing navy, and are loosing from your direct opponent. Ships are about to destroy your navy factories and a large part of your base next. What are your best options to counter this? I have tried torpedo bombers vs ships (when I was air player) but that didn't work imo, perhaps I didn't bring enough of them. I haven't tried but I think point defense and artillery isn't going to work as it is either outranged by navy, or too slow.

Really it's bad at that point and I don't play much Navy or Seton's. But if their main ship to bombard your base is cruisers deploy TMD and then set up T2 arty under shields to delay their direct fire attempts to shift you. Then move your economic core further inland and deny any expansion into your old one.

You could also drop a nuke on them. Really I'm not sure what to do, there might be other ways to get rid of them. But basically this is the naval equivalent of a land army making it to your base. Just less devastating.

Arty is generally the least effecient option. Hover spam is the primary means of getting back into the water. Cybran have the megalith which is fantastic for that. If it is later in the game you could even consider a scathis. Situationally T3 gunships and T2 torps are good against navy. It is generally best to try and not lose navy that badly though. With Cybran you can get HARMS fairly quickly which are god tier when there is only T2 Navy on the field.

I would focus on learning Naval matchups and winning before how to deal with losing though.

I read somewhere that engineers can reclaim cloaked selens, is this true and if so, how do you do it?

you can also walk into the selen if you know exactly where it is. the bumping will force it to move, and so uncloak it, able to be shot/reclaimed
