Assisting shields

What is the math for assisting shields with engies to recover shield points?

Like: a T1 engy with BP = 5 is assisting a T3 shield to generate some amount of shield points per tick. How is that amount calculated.

it is easy to check in sandbox, for example i made scheme where GC is standing under shield and trying to break it from inside and there are some engy stations assisting shield and i managed to get it to balance so shield does no longer regen and not take any damage. https://youtu.be/JSwSKceB_ak?t=3m58s (so 15 fully upgraided hives and 1 unupgraided one can hold continious 2500 dps)

with scatis it might be harder cause sometimes shot may miss, some times you get 5 shots in a row
but it also depends on faction, and how close you are to scatis, cause if you are far away more shots may miss
