Uncontroversial changes

Not really a balance change, but it shouldn't be controversial. Walk animation rates should be changed to sync up with actual unit speed. On a lot of units with legs (Titans, Mongeese, Bricks, etc) the walk rate is too low for the actual unit speed, making it look like it is ice skating on land. In Vanilla, everything was synced up good and units looked like they were actually walking, but when the speeds were increased for FA, the animation rate wasn't changed to match the new speed. Should be very easy to do, it's just one line in the unit BP.

Pretty sure this is a guaranteed include. Problem is it takes to bloody long to track down and polish up this stuff (Trust me, I've tried before) so we need someone with a lot of time on their hands...

Provide proper values, then they'll be added.

I screwed around with the walk rates of a bunch of legged units. The goal was to make it so that the foot (or whatever touches the ground) does not slide along but instead looks like a step at their current unit speeds.

Loyalists, harbs, Ilshavohs and hoplites also look good where they are. At normal speed they don't appear to noticeably slide (You can see it a little bit if you zoom all the way in and put it on -10) Titans, Percivals, Sprites, Mongeese, and Bricks all have slippery looking animation speeds.

Titan: AnimationWalkRate = 11.5
Percival: AnimationWalkRate = 3
Sprite Striker: AnimationWalkRate = 9
Mongoose: AnimationWalkRate = 8.5 (While it doesn't appear to slide at this value, the animation starts to look like funny turbo charged power walking)

The Brick animation slides across the ground regardless of animation speed. I tried a load of different values but it seems that it just slides anyway. No point in changing it.

Hi,
I found on my computer fixed animations walks for Titan, Mongoose and Brick from a forgotten mod in old times I include them here they are much better than the originals.

Also included below the new animationwalk rates that go with these new animations (change the values in the unit bp) :

I think that is her...

Can the Loyalist be named as "Heavy Assault Bot", and the Harb as "Siege Assault bot":
this way:
Heavy= Fast w/ low Armor/Damage(raider)
Siege= mid speed w/ medium armor and good damage(assault)
Armored= Low speed w/ HEAVY armor and good damage (avanced assault/or some like that)
...

If we're lobbying for name changes, I'd like to bring up swapping the T1 and T3 fighter names.

How'd you figure "Interceptors" and "Air Superiority Fighters" could possibly be swapped? I think these names perfectly describe what these aircraft actually do.

An Interceptor, intercepts things. A superiority fighter gains superiority.

'Interceptor' is interchangeable seeing as both planes do just that... intercept things.

However, ASFs are the air superiority vehicules. T1 planes aren't the kings of the sky -ASFs are.

But I wouldn't mind just calling them fighters. ASF has a better ring to it, but they are just fighters. Air isn't diverse enough in this game to warrant specialized titles. Fighter/bomber/gunship covers everything.

That said, no real point in changing them now.

You should go reread the T3 air thread if you don't know what I'm talking about.

But as long as the more extreme changes under discussion aren't implemented, it should be fine.
