Btw i think you are on a very good way with the other changes. Thanks for your work!

We did some testing some month ago, with high speed missile Evensong. I believe it worked well, but I was the only one. Players mostly didn't notice significant enough change. If Aeon are too weak in PD / firebases wars, which I doubt, we can consider testing this again. But good Evensong micro (= make them fire all at once instead of separately) can already bring good results in PD wars. Faster missiles would only enhance this, but micro would still be necessary due to the long reload time.

As for giving it a 2hp missile, it would be too strong. It would still be quite easy to counter 1 to 5 Evensongs, but very difficult beyond that number (especially if you do the micro trick to fire them all at once).

Ok, then i think it is better to use T2 air instead of the Aeon MML against PD creep, or obsidians. Because if i have to build at least 5 MMLs to have something useful i prefer to build 5 units with more effort.

NO
this is a really really bad idea
there is already enough jesters in early game and they are anoying enough by far

Sorry i know i said i wont anoy people with my opinions about balancing anymore but my last conversation in aeouls was like this so forgive me:

ColonelSheppard:
is it only me or is second air-> first jester the new meta for all maps as cybran?

TEA_Kurbain:
If not it probabyl will be after the price got reduced, Shep.

ColonelSheppard:
jester price reducing???

ColonelSheppard:
i hope you are joking..

TEA_Kurbain:
Yeah, the testing team decided that the mass cost of the Jester will reduced from 200 to 180 in the next patch.

i see nearly every Cybran going early jester on every map on all kinds of rating levels (from 900 - 2100), now you might argue that people one 2300 might be able to counter that but thats no justification to buff an already overused unit, also i cant see how that is related to engymod

It's out of the scope of the patch and won't be implemented.

In case you were not aware, it's more a nerf than anything. If you want to keep the jester with OP veterancy, and think 20 mass means more than 2 vet levels, I don't think the Cybran players will mind, on the contrary. They will be happy to keep abusing it on small maps.

Why not just change the vet and leave the mass cost alone if you think it's a smidge too strong?

The jester is already mass equivalent health and dps when compared to t2 gunships.... if you reduce the mass cost, it will actually be more effective to spam jesters than any t2 gunship.

Jester -> 2.6 hp/mass, and .26 dps/mass

New Jester -> 2.9 hp/mass and ~.3 dps/mass

Renegade -> 3.4 hp/mass, and .25 dps/mass

As far as damage potential goes, the jester would go from even footing with the t2 gunship to 20% better DPS/mass.

Not that it matters, but t1 units are almost always more efficient at dps mass wise.

t1 arty is the most dps efficient unit in the game.
t1 tank is has more dps per mass than percies....

What is current status of balance testing? Any indication of when it will go live?
