I think the sera factory should perhaps be tweaked at the same time.


1 Serphim air factory is faster than any other factory at producing engies (including land factories)
2 Aeon is second producing at the same rate as land factories.
3 uef is slightly slower than land factories
4 cybran is woeful at the task producing about 33% slower than land factories.

Its a pretty significant difference. It also seems bizzare that cybran should suffer so badly especially since their faction kinda has a focus on speedy building. But definatly the seraphim factory has been over buffed. Its one of those things that realy doesnt need to have faction diversity. They should be equalized imho.

All engi's build at the same rate, move at the same rate, have identical stats because in the early early early game that kind of thing is important. It's not reasonable for your BO to take longer to do simply for the fact that you're cybran so you have to wait another second or two for your engi's to get off, per engi. And for only the air factory vs the land factory? That don't make a lick of sense.

There are certain things in the game that are identical for a reason. All mass extractors are the same, Pgens, radar installations.

Some things just need to be the same to level the playing field. I don't see how this can be called faction diversity.

Make them all the same.

They tried stuff like this with original supcom and it ended up completely negating an entire factions use in the game(2 players were UEF in the top 100 in original SupCom) clearly this isn't the same exact thing but small stuff equates to big leads in this game.

Make all roll off times the same, I could care less about faction diversity when dealing with something as simple as this.

Factories should be equal. This seems like an oversight from the art department, so I'm all for correcting it, Seraphim and Cybran both.

+1 Make them the same.
It just affects the engies and it is caused by the different animation. what reason should there be for cybrans to be slowed down when chosing an air fab in first place and being hindered by such an error?

Exactly, would it better for faction diversity for mexes to produce different resources per faction? Or pgens? No.

The three main resources of SupCom: Energy, Mass, Buildpower.

While things like Aeon/Sera double RAS affect this it is later game so not an issue. The rolloff time hurts Cybran players and benefits Seraphim players unfairly very early game to a fundamental resource. This isn't faction diversity it's a glitch.

cyb air fac can build jester (which can potentially f*** up a player early)
sera air fac can't build that. Maybe you could see that speed difference as a balance thing.
