Friend cannot finish installation of Total Mayhem V136

Hello, anytime that my friend attempts to download total mayhem on FaF, it crashes right before it completes, resulting in it not correctly installing. Is there any way to remedy this?

tell him to delete the local mod file manually and never to run the client with admin rights
if that doesn't help then he can also download the mod from this thread viewtopic.php?f=47&t=12248 and put it in the mod folder by hand

We are slowly getting closer to a solution. My friend and I both uninstalled and reinstalled FaF, deleted total mayhem by hand, manually reinstalled from the thread that you provided, and both have total mayhem running now. However, anytime we try playing coop, we desync immediately. How can we fix this?
