Although your main point was the off switch, this comment has made me realize we can make my changes more immersive. Visually, the images should appear as a tactical overlay in a heads up display. The information on statistics could come from the "Galactic Military Compendium". Hey,

Depending on your LUA/game code knowledge, this would not be hard to add, actually 3hr job code wise (only because the map preview & placement isnt straight forward) + x amount of time to accumilate the quotes, the map description "should" be ready made and obtainable, pffft.

wish id have thought of this 18 months ago... :) good job ;)

i think its a great idea, you could add plenty of useful map/quote info...

just do it anyway sound/solid idea pal... dont even add a option to disable it... it should be standard :) 5 stars...

It looks cool, but I really don't think the loading screen is going to be shown for long enough for people to enjoy much of it, particularly if the current work towards more aggressive resource prefetching while you're sat in the lobby bears fruit: that looks set to shave a couple more seconds off of the load time, meaning this'd be a lot of work that'd just never get seen :/

lore can still go in the game lobby, faf client, homepage, etc
