Post here if you want to help developing something for FAF.

A little reminder...

If you've coded something for FA patch, you must create a pull request on the repository or IT WON'T BE ADDED.

I won't spend any time tracking stuff on the forum and integrate them myself.

Ze_Pilot, thanks for the posts about getting everything setup to edit the FAF and FA code. When will the patch be released?

I am getting into coding FA (Lua) and FAF (Python) and am wondering if I can edit mods that are already in use. For example, to begin with, I would like to add a picture for the experimental point defense, and a picture for the experimental mass extractor. When I make the edit, would I update the mod in the mod vault, or just upload V2 of the mod?

You need to contact the creator of whichever mod you have improved and ask them to make the necessary changes using your improvements. PilOt's talking about the bitbucket account, used for things such as bugfixes, featured mod changes, and lobby changes which will go into the primary game.
