How did you plan the link (interface) between the live system and the web app?

Direct sql read access on tables?
XML Export?
Another API?


What login system did you prefer, how can players link accounts?

The only think I'm planning server is to display the clan tag next to the guy nickname. So I just need a 3 letters tag field in the db.

The website will run on FAF server, so direct access to the mySQL tables.

For the access, I guess using FAF login and password would be enough.

That's not planned.
I don't really want people to know that for other things than the ladder.

In the end, we can wait with this for now until main purpose of application is achived.

Later, we will consider some extra features such as tool for organizing clanmatches.

Exactly.

It's better to have something simple running, get feedback from user, and change things from there, than waiting 6 months for something that may or may not be released, with features that doesn't fit players expectations.
