That is probably the case, because turn is only used for the direct interaction between the player's game instances. The server is not involved into the peer-to-peer connections .Only the game results and the GPGNetSend-Message are directly addressed to the server. I'd assume the "other" side of the connections you are looking for is inside the faf client.

But I'm not the expert on this part of the architecture.
