Sure, so U are saying that even tho FAF has ended , FA can still continue without FAF even tho FAF initiated the game?

That hasn't been my experience but if that is the case it's useful to know

Yes it is the case.

Once FA is launched, FAF has nothing to do with what is happening. As long as you don't close FAF, FA will continue running even if the whole server is crashed.

Hi all

I can confirm by a test today with SiggyAU

1) that pulling the cable does cause FAF to fail, but FA carries on unaffected once cable reconnected - My error
2) disabling network adapter, same as 1)
3) rebooting router. FA does not continue. Reason.....yes you were right, new IP address is provided by ISP on router reboot.

Hence, for a reconnect to properly work you need to have a static ip address.
