ok, can the aeon destroyer dodge fire from other factions' destroyers? If it can't this is a valid point, otherwise..


It can't dodge Seraphim or UEF destroyers without great success, but, it can outrange them. As for the Cybran, it can dodge Destroyer and Cruiser shots with about a 50% sucess rate (this is highly player dependant). The sucess rate for dodging Aeon destroyer shots varies depending on the player. but it can be as high as 75%. There are even some players who can entierly escape damage.

Of course adding AOE would not affect the intrinsic DPS. So the un-microed damage would remain unaffected.

Yeah the points where:
A) Increase balance
B) Improve gameplay and diversity (Aeon makes up for high fire rate with splash)
C) Add immersion - the current AOE does not even slightly fit with the displayed AOE
