Aeon Shield Disruptor has Wrong Icon

Its icon should look like this (icon_land3_antishield)

Note: the icon is currently broken, with the antishield icon appearing outside of the box when not selected. It is easily fixed by anyone with the paint.net program (I can't upload my fixed file version but the file is located in textures.scd\textures\ui\common\game\strategicicons\icon_land3_antishield)

you has my support for this, But i think thats only a cosmetic, but this is better that why not.

As the Aeon do not actually have a front line T3 tank. There is no actual cause for ambiguity. It would be cosmetic only, with no actual impact on gameplay or intel (unless you had Seraphim & Aeon shared tech). Pretty unlikely.

Btw, does anybody ever see these units used ingame?
How much damage do they do to shields anyway? I have no idea how usefull these units actually are. Their range seems to be quite large. According the unitDB they can outrange Ravagers.

Yes I have used them, and their range is about the same as artillery. They do MASSIVE damage to shields, and they hover, which means they can be mixed with your navy. 6 Absolvers would be enough to strip an entire UEF fleet of bulwark shields. They can overwhelm the strongest base shielding. They can even use the puny 3 DPS damage to assasinate radar, from a safe distance. They will strip the personal shield of an ACU, as though it didn't have one, and when combined with sniper bots, they make the perfect assasination team.

Typically, I use them for:
- Naval fights vs UEF or Seraphim;
- Siege assaults;
- Close drop support missions, for T3 artillery fire.

It is rare to see them used, but they do their job, and they do it well.

This would be a very easy fix to implement, just hook the right icon and er, fix the icons.

Why hasn't it been fixed?

Give me the fixed icon and the fixed blueprint and I will gladly add it to the patch.

As you wish.

I'm sure you know the file paths... but just encase.

...gamedata/units/DAL0310
...gamedata/textures/UI/common/game/stragicicons

Let me know if anything is wrong with it, do note my modding career started a few days ago.

The only change to the *.bp file is
StrategicIconName = 'icon_land3_directfire'
becomes
StrategicIconName = 'icon_land3_antishield'

and the icons are just fixed, nothing notable other than moving the symbol to the right spot.

Didn't think about that, yea, it would be from the original as it was my steam copy. For that matter, I don't even know where the FAF version is housed.

Perhaps I'll poke around later, but it's one line to change regardless, the pictures where the 'hard' part.
