Acu change... maybe

I know its probably pretty IMBA, but why cant ACU's shoot at air units?

I know in the original trailer it could, in LABwars it can, and it only does 100 damage anyway. So whats the issue? Why cant ACU's fire at air units? Is there a good reason?

It takes long to get air in early game + the acu can't shoot under water either, like torpedos or something, it doesn't make sense unless it'd be an upgrade

yeah i always found it strange how the acu just takes out and airplane in the trailer...

After a saw that trailer i spend half of hour trying to hit a plane with acu xD

I honestly don't think it would have that big of an impact on the game. ACU's don't do that much damage, its not like they could stop a strat bomber run or a hoard of ASF. I think having the option to fire at air targets would be a great addition.

It would nerf early air builds to the point at which they would be useless.

The issue with this would be very similar to in TA. In TA, ANYTHING could shoot at air units, be it a Battleship, a Peewee, a Commander or a Big Bertha; if it was in range, it was a target. This lead to hilarious scenarios where you would have artillery wailing away at Fighters while a force of slow-moving KBots like Zees advance, or a Battleship takes down 20 Gunships in 1 salvo.

It's just easier on the engine and the players to restrict air targets to AA. The ACU would miss 99% of its shots on air targets, what happened in the trailer was just epic for the sake of being epic.
