Block/ignore users

It would be really nice if we could ignore or block users in IRC/main lobby chat. /ignore doesn't work for me D:

you have to connect over another IRC client in order to do this,
if you have problem with certain players talk to a moderator
(i know there are some really anoying people recently)

I came here to ask the same things... There are some annoying people lately (don't want to say names .... TKP_TRON..oh sorry) who really ruins my experience on FAF when connected. Isn't it possible to add an /ignore command ?? Really tired to read nationalistic anthems or warfare discussion about who has the uber tanks , when it's not trolling or insulting.

its not uncommon for him to flame you if you won against him. AND it is not uncommon for him to do this as well if he won the game - bad winner ... so everytime you get matched against him on 1on1 ... be sure - he flames ingame and after the game inside faf-lobby. I guess he isn't banned yet because people ignore him already ^^ ... but definitly he should be warned at least ...

but anyway guys ... be relaxed ... laugh about these guys and ignore them by yourself is the easiest way ...

Hmm, I got called a "f****** smurf a** h***" for soundly beating him too. I took it as a compliment, but it still left a pretty sour taste in my mouth.

Changing his name to "UK_Nationalist" is a bit disturbing too, might as well call himself "EDL_Muslimhater".

He is an obvious troll. Don't feed the troll because it will just encourage him.

So yeah this highlights the need for this functionality - there are a very select few people who MANY people want blocked.

A Nationalist doesn't necessarily mean that you hate all foreigners and only "Muslims".
Also EDL is a very extreme type of nationalist..

Are you British? I've never met a Brit who identified as a nationalist who wasn't racist.
