UI knows how many resources that unit spent last game tick, so if you don't mind the 0.1s difference, it would be perfectly possible to sum it up over all selected units and display it in a new window or for example the eco panel

Group usage sounds nice. Like you say, you could fine tune stuff. Also you would come to learn what things cost a bit I would say.

I use supreme economy to see what I am spending mass on. It's not a percentage but you can see that you are spending 44 mass on bricks. Which is useful.

I think I would like to see a mod that lists how much % of your mass you are spending on...

it would be best if we could make orders for units, which are loaded in trasport, no more forgoten drops :)

It is possible to issue orders for the units you are putting in the transports before they actually load into them. Just select the units you want to load, go to load them but try issuing the commands via the shift button before they get in the transport. Once the transport unloads the units, they will automatically start doing whatever it is that you wanted them to do at that location. Here is a link showing this.

Here's what would be sweet for transports.
----
You load six engies in.
You have a key to select first engie (and pressing it twice will grow the selection to select the second engie as well).
Then you can click the map to drop the selection there.
Immediately you can issue subsequent orders to the dropped units.
You have a key to select the next engie in the transport.

How about a mod that keeps tract of the ping / latency of all the connected players and displays the results next to the players name?
