Yes, but the ones on the video Aulex has are slightly larger (the current ones are smaller) and the effects in the video also include the trail on airplanes as they fall down, which (at least in its current form) won't be included in the FX i plan on making for FAF, those are Supreme Destruction exclusive for now :D

They need to appear faster and fade out slower. (the bigger ones especially)
Also Seraphim ones seem to subtract at the end which looks rather weird.

Cool stuff though. I like UEF ones the most :)

from what ive seen the t2 seraphim explosion is too big (mostly the brief flash of lightning before the sound plays), and the t3 is definitely too big for all factions

size is hard to comment on, but i think they are all too big except maybe sera t1. keeping them the same but 25-50% smaller (depending on tank; 25% for aeon 50% for the rest of t3, make your judgement on that)

aeon are the best

cybran t3 i dont really like because the "red blast wave" doesn't look too good, but lighting is nice but seems to be off to the side to much or something, same for t2 but not so much
maybe make it a bit more round? im not sure, they look not very solid to me

uef is slightly strange because the sparks that come off are a different color to the rest of the explosion, they are very nice, but sparks fly off a bit far, and last quite long

sera are ok, but there is a brief flash of lightning which is cool but way too big, and for the t3 lighting lingers a bit too much


all t1 is very nice


another thing, the explosions are too transparent - you can see the unit despawning through them, while they are big, this makes them look strange. (for this reason i like aeon ones the most, they look the most fitting to the supcom style, and the least strange)
maybe what i mean is the core flash is too small for the rest of the effects, you can see through most of the explosion, which looks kinda weird,
maybe this will be fixed if you make the whole explosion smaller, but keep the core the same.
i think if you add a solid ball explosion (like in t1 now) which is quite small to the center of each explosion to cover up the actual tank, they will all look much nicer

overall they do look nice, but i dont think they are much better than what is in the game now, but this could look really good, keep it up!

EDIT: oh yeah, and make shockwaves more prominent! i love those : P
by that i dont mean bigger, but i didnt seem to notice them at first, so maybe a bit slower, i dunno, the t3 ones also look to stretched out (region where pixels are displaced)

I forgot to mention, TURN BLOOM RENDER ON for these explosions. They look bad otherwise.

Are those explosions optional if they are included in FAF?

I'd make FAF look worse for me, because I hate bloom rendering.

It only works on high settings but maybe we could make another set of settings for rk's explosions

Uh oh, I'm going to be the first negative post :/ I love the work, I really do, and it looks great, however to me these don't really... Fit :/

SupCom's whole graphical style is quite gritty. Having explosions like these on some of the more specialised or powerful units will be fabulous, but an Engineer of any faction really should just blow up with smoke and fire... It's difficult to put into words :/
