Opening unit model with GoogleSketchUp

I think this is the place to ask since all modders are here, i would like to open 3d file of a unit with GoogleSketchUp(or some other program that i can use to reconvert the model to format i can open with GoogleSketchUp), i remember i was able to open it with trial 3d max but my licence has since expired and i can't find that plugin anywhere. Please help.
